|Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.|
We accept card payments.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
|Shipping And Handling We currently offer a standard delivery charge for postage and packaging to the UK mainland only - orders to the islands and highlands are not valid and will be refunded.|
Plants to the UK mainland are despatched to you via DPD who contact you, provide you with a one hour delivery window and the option to arrange for the parcel to be left in a safe place, with a neighbour or at a drop off shop for collection. This, together with the packaging materials costs £10+vat.
Whilst we will pass on any special instructions to leave the goods in a safe place, we cannot guarantee that the courier will leave them without obtaining a signature and we accept no liability for loss if they are left in this way.
We always suggest that you arrange delivery to a place where someone will be in to sign for them or where they can be left safely - these are living plants and we accept no liability for damage caused due to delays if the courier is unable to deliver them because you are not at the address you have asked us to deliver to in order to receive them.
Plants are generally collected from us Monday - Wednesday for delivery to you Tuesday - Thursday. This allows plants to be collected from depots by the weekend if necessary.
The majority of our herbs are watered on the day before despatch to avoid the packaging from becoming too wet. When they are prepared for packing, they may be topped up with some fresh compost and sometimes some of this is displaced in transit. It does not mean that there is a problem with the plants. The plants that we choose are of the correct quality, some may appear to be dry but this will be for a reason; in our professional capacity, the herbs that we select are all healthy and suitable for growing on successfully. At certain times of year some herbs may just be starting to show above the surface. Again, this is a natural state for the time of year and they will grow on as the weather warms up.
|Delivery Schedule We will normally despatch your order within 5 business days. The earliest that we are ever able to despatch is the day following your order which means that the herbs could be delivered on the third day. However, this will depend on both the day and time that an order is placed.|
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
|Tax Charges For orders made from the UK, 20% VAT is added where applicable.|
|Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.|
|Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction - please contact us as soon as possible after receipt if you have any problems with what you have received. We will ask that you provide a photo to show evidence of the problem and will either replace or refund the cost of them where applicable.|
Please note that as the herbs are living plants requiring aftercare they are dependent on you and the conditions that you provide for them once they arrive with you and we cannot be held liable for any problems thereafter.
