Hardy perennial herb with succulent arrow-shaped foliage. This plant was once grown as a vegetable. Rich in vitamins, it is also known as Lincolnshire spinach.
Suitable for a moist, well drained soil in a sunny spot.
Use leaves fresh in salads, or to add to casseroles, stuffing, and soups. Flower spikes can be steamed.
