This distinctive Basil has attractive red-tinted foliage from dark stems and produces purple flowers in Summer. It is a special and much requested culinary basil with a unique aniseed scent/flavour.
Plant in well drained soil in full sun and use in Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.
This is not to be confused with Holy Basil which some growers call Thai Holy Basil.
